Salukis in Latvia
For this moment we have all together 4 Salukis in Latvia (incl. Wayla).
So, lets talk a little bit about them.
My Wallabys Wajd Wayla "Wayla" was first Saluki in Latvia and she came from Finnish kennel Wallaby in winter 2003. Wayla is very calm and delicate Saluki, she has typical cat nature and she do not like when somebody touch her or force to do something. Wayla is very stubborn and you should be quite patient in order to persuade her to do (or not) something. For example, she do not like shows, but she can do it if I will ask.
Second Saluki in Latvia came from Russia, from kennel Basarat Karim only 3.5 years later in 2007. Her name is Basarat Karim Bihiyah Hurhid "Sunny". She was born on 28.03.2007. She is definitely most communicable Saluki I have ever seen, very "sunny" and always happy to see me. She likes children very much and is ready to play football with them all day long. However, Sunny has a high opinion of oneself and sometimes could be very lordly and even selfish. She is queen of her house and first princess for her owner.
One year later (in 2008) from same Russian kennel came Saluki girl Basarat Karim Carim Chamaneh "Nesha". She was born on 08.03.2008. She lives together with Sunny and is her half-sister. Nesha is very quite and very, very tender girl. She likes her owner best of all and needs her attention most of all.
And, just some months ago (at the end of year 2008) fourth Saluki came from Sweden. Also girl, born 07.10.2008. Al-Shen Elhama "Cameron" is from kennel Al-Shen. I have seen her only once at Latvian Sighthound Show on 07.02.2009. I think she was a little bit shocked and confused about her first show. But... in spite of all emotions she managed to became Best Baby-1 at this show! It seems nice start for show career. Congratulations!
